Fall Registration is Open!

Registration for the 2011 McKinney Little League Fall season is now open through August 8th and the new season will start in late August. If you are a returning player, please contact your coach – prior to registering - to obtain a NEW pin number so that you can be placed on the proper team. Players not on a roster will be placed via a blind draft. In consideration of other sports and school obligations Junior division games will be played as doubleheaders on Saturdays and Sundays. Please remember that your child’s league age is determined by his or her age as of April 30, 2012. All players will be allowed to “play up” one year (i.e. a 10 year old will be allowed to play in the Majors division with 11 and 12 year olds). 

Coaches will need to send an email to the Registrar (registration@mckinneyllb.com) to request a pin number and team name. For the Fall season, coaches will not be limited to the number of players that they can protect, nor will coaches only be allowed to protect players from the previous season’s roster. New coaches will need to fill out the background check form (HERE) and turn it in to a league official or at the coaches meeting.

There are 2 registration options available this season:

1. Online registration, pay with a credit card. If you are a protected player returning to a team, be sure you have the coaches pin code. This will place you on that coaches team and you will not need to sign the player protection form. Click here to register online

REMEMBER, TO BE A PROTECTED PLAYER, YOU MUST SELECT THE PROTECTED PLAYER CHECKBOX -AND- FILL OUT THE PLAYER PROTECTION FORM OR USE THE PIN CODE.

McKinney Little League supplies all players with a hat and shirt (shirt only for summer).  All players will need to provide pants, socks and glove.

The following Leagues are offered in McKinney Little League:

 

 
• 4 Year Old T-Ball
  Offered to 4 year olds as an introduction to baseball, these teams will play up to 8 games per season. Standings/Scores are not kept for this league.
 
• T-Ball
  Offered to 5 and 6 year olds, coach throws 3 pitches, then batter hits from the tee. Teams in this league will play up to 8 games. Standings/Scores are not kept for this league.
 
• Coach Pitch
  Coach Pitch offered to 7 and 8 year olds getting ready to enter the minors. Coach pitches up to six pitches to the batter Standings/Scores are not kept for this league.
 
• Modified Kid Pitch
   Modified Kid Pitch (MKP) is offered to 8 year olds as alternative to Coach Pitch, and Machine pitch. In MKP, a child player pitches up to four called balls (by the umpire); the batter's coach then may pitch up to 2 pitches. Standings/Scores are kept in this league.
 
• Minors
  The minor league is offered to 9 and 10 year olds, and introduces full kid pitch, base stealing, and bunting. Standings and Scores are kept. Tight Bases are enforced.
 
• Majors
  The major league is offered to 11 and 12 year olds, full kid pitch, base stealing, and bunting, and the league has loose bases. Standings and Scores are kept.
 
• Juniors
  The junior league is offered to 13 and 14 year olds, full kid pitch, base stealing, and bunting, and the league has loose bases. Standings and Scores are kept.
