This years 2007 All Star teams are expected to be one of the best teams McKinney has ever put together. This page willbe the information resource for player rosters, coach selections, and tournament progress.

• McKinney currently holds four (4) recognized charters with the Little League governing body. The following teams have been approved by Little League and can be formed for play in the upcoming All Startournament(s):

  Please be aware that team numbers above DO NOT represent a guarantee that that is the total number of teams which will be formed for each division. The numbers are a maximum allowable based on our charters. In the event that there are not enough players interested in or eligible for selection for a specific boundary, it is possible that no team will be selected and due to Little League regulations concerning charters the League will be forced into a situation that will prevent us from entering a team from that said boundary and all players within that boundary, at that level will not be eligible for All Star participation.(English Translation: For example, if the Majors North League does not have enough players to field a team, then McKinney North will not be represented with a Majors All Star team. Additioanlly, the Majors players that live in McKinney North boundaries are not eligible to play on another All Star team.)
• Per Little League Rules, the 8yr old team will compete up to the district level. No higher level of competition is offered to this age group.
• The 9-10yr old team will compete until they reach the state competition level. Little League offers no higher level of competition at this age group.
• The 11-12yr old team will be competing for the chance to make it to Williamsport, PA for the Little League World Series.
• TEAMS WILL NOT BE ANNOUNCED UNTIL JUNE 15th.

• All Star tournament information can be found on the District 8 web site, once that infomation is published.
• Although everyone is welcome to come and play in Little League during the regular season, players who participate in all stars must live in within the city of McKinney OR reside within boundaries defined in the following map. Click here to see the boundaries.
• Players who are 'playing up' a league are required to tryout in their appropriate age group according to the Little League Age Chart. Players cannot 'Play up' on an all star team.

All Star Tryout Information:

All Players who will be trying out for the All Star team must bring a copy of their birth certificate, and proof of residency with them to tryouts.Players who make the team MUST provide an ORIGINAL birth certificate. This must be supplied to be on the final roster.

MKP and Juniors can send up to 6 players from each team to tryouts. Minors and Majors are holding open tryouts.

Tryout candidates MUST be a registered member in good standing of the McKinney Little League and MUST have played the Spring season with a registered McKinnney Little League team.

Coaches must email the list of players attending tryouts to allstars@mckinneyllb.com no later than Wednesday June 6th.

Tryouts will be at the following times and locations:

• Majors - 12:00pm June 9th Gabe Nesbitt Community Park
• Minors - 12:00pm June 9th at Mouzon (Due to the number of expected players from the Minors, tryouts may extend to Sunday the 10th as well. The 2nd Day tryouts would be at Mouzon at 12:00pm.)
• MKP - 9:00am June 9th at Mouzon East
• Juniors - 9:00am June 9th at Gabe Nesbitt Community Park (Green Field)

Tentative Tournament Schedule

• MKP will begin tournament July 9th
• The Minors should begin June 25th-with the games being Monday, Wed, & Fri
• The Majors will begin June 26th, games playing Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday
• The Juniors should begin June 25th (There are 11 teams in the pool this year)
• And the Seniors will begin Mid week around June 28th.

As to a finish date-so long as a team keeps winning-they continue to play. Final end date for MKP, Minors, Juniors & Seniors would theoretically be the end of July, the Majors, the middle of August
